Checking out what’s on TV when you are vision impaired can be difficult. There are apps and websites out there that you can use but these can take time to navigate and are not always as convenient as we would like.

So, if you are the owner of an Amazon Echo Smart speaker, why not use it to find out what is on TV? It is easy and quick.

Try saying “Alexa, enable TV Guide” or “Alexa, what’s on TV now.” Then you could follow by asking “Alexa, what’s on RTE 1 right now?”, or “what’s on Channel 4 next?”. “Alexa, what movies are on TV tonight”.

Note, if you are having trouble enabling the skill with your voice, or Alexa is not suggesting the correct Skill you can go into the Alexa app, go to Skills and Games and search for TV Guide and enable it from there.
